GA1 addresses disarmament, arms control, and international security challenges. Delegates debate issues like nuclear weapons, cyber warfare, and terrorism. Its aim is to foster trust among nations through transparent discussions, preventing armed conflicts and ensuring a safer global environment through multilateral agreements.

My name is Maya Fedorowicz, a Year 12 student at the British School of Beijing Shunyi, and I am honoured to have the opportunity to chair.

As someone who was thrown into MUN with no experience years ago, I know what it’s like to be nervous and overwhelmed. Any questions, queries, or help you may need, I will always be here to provide it for you. If you only take one thing away from your experience in BRITMUN’s General Assembly 1 - I hope you feel it was a weekend well spent - full of challenge, enjoyment, and learning.

Welcome to BRITMUN 2025. I’m Ariel KONG from Beijing World Youth Academy, and I am currently in year 9. It’s such an honor for me to serve as the Deputy President of the GA1 committee this year. This is my third MUN conference, and I will try my best to play my role.

Don't be nervous to show your ability by POI, amendments and speeches. Remember, every contribution you give will be seen by all of us.
